Mastroeni Commits to 2026 Sussex Softball

Sussex  Softball is proud to welcome Kayleigh Mastroeni to the 2025-2026 team as she officially signs commits to play at the NJCAA Division II level. A standout athlete from Kittatinny Regional High School (KRHS), Kayleigh brings years of experience and dedication to the game, making her a fantastic addition to the Skylanders roster.

Kayleigh has played varsity softball since her freshman year, excelling as a shortstop and having a strong catcher background. Competing at both the high school and travel ball levels, she has honed her skills against top-tier competition, preparing her for the next step in her athletic career.

Beyond the field, Kayleigh is focused on her academics, dual majoring in Criminal Justice and Business. She chose Sussex not only for its strong academic programs but also for the welcoming atmosphere of the Sussex Softball family.

"I have heard a lot of good things about Sussex, especially about the great softball family they have," Kayleigh shared. "I have always wanted to play at the college level, and I'm beyond thrilled to achieve that at SCCC."

Head Coach Jamie Borger expressed her excitement about adding Kayleigh to the team, praising her skills, leadership, and work ethic.
"Kayleigh is a tremendous competitor with the drive and leadership we look for in our student-athletes. Her versatility on the field and dedication to the game will make an immediate impact on our program. We are beyond excited to welcome her to our Skylanders family and can't wait to see her thrive both on and off the field."

Looking ahead, Kayleigh plans to graduate from Sussex and either enter the workforce or transfer to a four-year school. She is excited for the opportunities that lie ahead, including meeting new teammates, competing at a higher level, and making lifelong memories on and off the field.

Welcome Home, Kayleigh!
