Sussex wins home opener in overtime
The Sussex Women's Basketball team win their home opener in an overtime thriller. The Skylanders down 14 at halftime made a big run in the second half to force the game into overtime. Sussex was led by Freshman guard Sophia May who had 17 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assist. Also, Freshman Marrisa Bouma had a Double Double with 16 points and 18 rebounds. Rebecca Krueger who made the game tying layup with 3 seconds left to force overtime finished the game with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Oliva May played great defense for the Skylanders with crucial steals and blocks during the overtime. Sophomore Matti Miller contributed a solid game with 9 points and 7 rebounds, and Kelly Ordonez gave the team solid minutes on both sides of the floor!
