Sussex Women Defeat Gloucester

The Sussex Women's Soccer Team defeated Rowan College of South Jersey - Gloucester to extend their unbeaten record to 6-0.  The Skylanders edged out Gloucester in a pivotal game for the NJ Women's College Soccer Cup after a hard fought battle filled with last ditch defending and scoring chances for both teams. Abby Marra gave Sussex the lead early in the second half after being sent through on goal by Sage Henry during a well-worked set piece routine. 

On a day where the achievements of the 2005 Women's Soccer Team were being honored for their 20 year anniversary, Sussex took a commanding lead in the inaugural NJ Women's College Soccer Cup.  Sussex currently top the group comprising of RCSJ-Gloucester, Ocean CC, RCSJ-Cumberland, Essex CC, and Mercer CC with 12 points after 4 games.  Next up for Sussex is an away trip to RCSJ-Cumberland on Saturday, September 27 where they can win the NJ Women's Cup with a positive result.
