Sussex Named to Women's All Region Team

The NJCAA Region 19 has announced its 2025 Division I and II Women's Soccer All-Region Team and major award winners, honoring the top performers from across the region as selected by the league's head coaches.

Harcum's Lou Bailache headlines the list as the 2025 Region 19 Women's Soccer Player of the Year. The standout defender anchored one of the top back lines in the region, consistently neutralizing opposing attacks while contributing to her team's postseason success.

Mercer's Rihanna Vincent joins Bailache as one of the league's elite defenders after another dominant season, while Sussex forward Leah English and Essex midfielder Martine Joazard earned recognition for their offensive creativity and consistent playmaking.

Also highlighting the All-Region selections are Lack's Melanie Shumway and Essex's Xiomara Rivera, who brought speed and technical skill to their respective midfields, while Harcum's Charlene Cortes added a dynamic scoring threat up top.

Mercer's Hannelore Rakels and Harcum's Dorine Casson join the defensive core on this year's squad, while Sussex's Isabella Peluso and Mercer's Charlotte Sayer round out the honorees with strong contributions in the attacking third.
