The Sussex Women's Soccer Team won their first game of the season on Saturday, August 23, away to CCBC Essex. Leah English scored the only goal of the match in the second half after being sent through on goal by Martina Lacatena. Sussex finished the game with 12 attempts at goal, 6 being on target. Leah English led the team with 3 shots on target, and Bella Peluso added another 2 shots on target. Freshman Goalkeeper Naelle Jouan earned her first shutout of the season as well.
Up next for Sussex is an away trip to Lackawanna College on September 3rd.
